A popular annual Sandy Point beach event. Over 200 people, young and old, and many family groups participate in this friendly, happy competition. Prizes are awarded for the best sandcastles.

Saturday 4 January – Registration at 9:40am, starts at 10:00am, judging at 11.00am.
A Sausage Sizzle is also held at the start of the beach track for hungry sandcastle builders.
