The Seadays Festival is a family focused event with appeal to all age groups. Celebrate with us the life of our coastal community in Port Welshpool.
The abundance of marine life in Corner Inlet will be on display. The touch tanks and aquarium are a big attraction. Our knowledgeable volunteers will answer any questions you may have. Birdlife Australia will be sharing some of their research into Fairy Terns. Local organizations like ‘The Welshpool and District Horticultural Society’ and the ‘Coast guard’ from Port Welshpool will offer activities and information for young and old. Myli will have a book display and craft activities for the young ones. Marine Rangers from Parks Victoria, and the Coast Care facilitators join us for this event. The Maritime Museum is open and Cheryl Glowry will speak about the ‘Early History’ of Corner Inlet. One of the highlights is “Come Try Fishing”, always very popular for children to learn the basics of fishing from the experts. (Prior booking necessary).
So come along, we look forward welcoming you and your family. Find all the details on our website: Sea Days Festival :: Port Welshpool :: South Gippsland :: Welcome
