The exhibition Mandy Gunn: Interwoven: Collected, Cut, Created was originally exhibited at the Gippsland Art Gallery in mid 2024. Curated by Dr. Sheridan Palmer and with Mandy and Sheridan’s encouragement and assistance, the exhibition is now at Coal Creek Gallery for audiences in South Gippsland, where the artist lives and works, and the curator resides part-time.
Join us for an opportunity to hear from the curator and the artist in conversation who will discuss the artworks in the show and consider practice, materiality, the ideology of recycling and repurposing and the re-imagining of the art of weaving. Hear the stories and thoughts behind the creation of works in the exhibition and how they relate to each other.
