MYLI (My Community Library) was successful in receiving a Youth Week grant this year, and to celebrate, Bass Coast Shire and South Gippsland Shire libraries are hosting a series of events across the library branches.
The activities were shaped by feedback from local young people, who MYLI surveyed about the kinds of events, they’d like to see as part of Youth Fest. Many suggestions included pizza (this was a very popular suggestion!), games, movies and creative activities.
Youth Fest is month-long celebration across Victoria that shines a spotlight on the contributions and achievements of young people aged 12–25 in their communities. Supported by the Victorian Government, Youth Fest offers opportunities for young people to connect, create, and celebrate together.
