Discover a short drive between two significant towns along well-made roads with views of rolling South Gippsland hills.
The road between Korumburra and Inverloch connects two major townships. It is also one of the most scenic, short-distance, drives in South Gippsland.
The drive takes approximately 25 minutes to complete along a well-made, curved, road. As the road links two townships, traffic volumes can vary, but are generally low.
Views along this drive include rolling hills that during winter time are particularly lush and a vibrant green in colour. During summer the hills dry off giving them a gentle, sun-kissed hue.
On a clear day, you can see hills for miles and even a glimpse of coastline in the distance. A lovely drive to take in the local countryside.
From Korumburra, take the C437 Korumburra-Wonthaggi Road out of town in a southerly direction.
After passing through the town of Jumbunna and looking out over the hills of Moyarra you will pass a scenic lookout (approximately 10km from Korumburra), which offers lovely farm views.
A little further and you will arrive in the small town of Kongwak, home to a lively Sunday market.
Once you’ve explored Kongwak a bit, head out of town along the C441 Inverloch-Kongwak Road.
Another 10 minutes or so will bring you to a roundabout at the entrance to Inverloch, a much-loved holiday destination for many Victorians.
The drive takes approximately 22 minutes to complete and is approximately 28km in length.
South Gippsland is a large region and has many wonderful scenic drive opportunities.
Green mountainous terrain, flat pastures and winding coastal tracks can all be found in South Gippsland.
