Stockyard Gallery opened in 1991 and is run by a dedicated volunteer group of local artists and craftspeople. The gallery is situated in Foster, a small town in the middle of South Gippsland dairy country and close to Wilsons Promontory. Foster was originally named Stockyard Creek after the creek that still runs through the town.

Stockyard Gallery is a dynamic not-for-profit community gallery, which aims to provide a quality art space, showcasing the amazing variety of artistic talent in South Gippsland.

Exhibitions change every four weeks and are a mixture of individual artist and collective shows. The gallery shop sells a wide range of items created by local artists and craftspeople including paintings, etchings, photographs, ceramics, woodwork, woollens, textiles, jewellery, books and gift cards.

You can find Stockyard Gallery at the roundabout on the corner of Main and McDonald Streets, in the same building as the Visitor Information Centre and adjacent to the Foster Library.
