Fishing from the banks of the Tarwin - What can be better?

Situated on the banks of the Tarwin River, the township of Tarwin Lower is a much loved fishing destination.

Wooden fishing platforms abound along the river and fishing competitions are held regularly.

Tarwin Lower’s main street, River Drive, is home to several shops, and the town’s long picnic table is a well regarded picnic destination.

The coastal town of Venus Bay is located approximately 3 kilometres to the west of Tarwin Lower, and the two towns can be easily accessed by road, or a picturesque walking/cycling pathway.
