The meandering walking track from the carpark takes you through open woodlands and Paperbark thickets to a large shallow wetland. From the birdhide you would have been rewarded with the sight of a variety of birdlife, however it was burnt down several years ago – it will hopefully be re-built as soon as funds are available.
NB: Bald Hills is a lovely reserve but can at certain times of the year be popular with snakes. Please exercise caution during snake season.
