Bringing together acclaimed artists, performers, disability advocates and community members, coLAB is a unique event that champions inclusive arts practice and showcases the power of creativity to connect people across lived experiences.
Over two vibrant days, audiences can participate in hands-on workshops, enjoy live music and performance, engage in thought-provoking conversations, and experience a diverse program of arts events throughout the township of Fish Creek.
Festival highlights include songwriting with award-winning musician Eliza Hull, movement and dance with Jessica Lesosky, conversation with leading disability advocate Carly Findlay, community singing with Jane Coker, a family experience for babies and carers, and a rich program of free street performance by some of Australia’s most exciting inclusive theatre and performance companies.
On the Friday afternoon there will be a First Nations welcome featuring smoking and dance, followed by the coLAB Piano Lounge Soirée, a glamorous evening of music, food and performance. On Saturday, Fish Creek will come alive with roaming performers, artist talks, workshops and family-friendly experiences before concluding with a joyful closing celebration at the Ride the Wild Goat Sculpture Park.
